Miami High School's first graduating class was in the year 1900.

The 1955 basketball team held the distinction of the best record ever, at 27-2, including a 19 game winning streak.

The only undefeated and state championship team was in 1971-1972.  With a record of 27-0, their average margin of victory was 27 points a game, or 73-46.  Their three state tournaments games were won by an average score of 74-56, or 18 points a game.

In the 116 years of Miami High School boys basketball, if an average of 15 guys were on the team each year, that would be a total of some 1740 who were Miami Wardog basketball players in it's history.  Only one team (with 13 players) ever won a state championship. That means that of all the boys to ever play basketball at Miami High School, only .0075% of them won a state championship, or one out of every 134.

Here is the amazing truth about how dynamic and dominant that team was.  Averaging 74 points over a 32 minute game equals scoring 2.31 points per minute.  If you expand that to a 40 minute college game, that would be like scoring 93 points a game.  For an NBA 48 minutes, it's a 111 points per game average.  To contrast that, this year Golden State averaged 110.6 points a game.

AUDIO RECORDINGS OF THE GAMES
If you google MIAMI WARDOGS 27-0, it will take you to a podcast where you can listen to the games in chronological order, if you want.  All of the games were not recorded, but many were and while the quality of the recordings isn't always perfect, it's fun to hear them and kind of relive the games.
